Brown’s Heavy Equipment has been serving the construction and mining industries since 1980, providing expert repair, service, and parts for a wide range of heavy equipment. Founded by Dennis and Julie Brown in Ames, Iowa, the company started with a commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction—values that still drive us today.
Over the years, we’ve expanded our expertise, becoming an authorized service and parts provider for top brands like DEVELON, JLG, Skyjack, Haulotte and more. With two locations—Ames and Council Bluffs—our team of skilled professionals is dedicated to keeping equipment running at peak performance.
As a family-run business, now with all four of Dennis and Julie’s sons involved, we take pride in treating our customers and employees like family. Brown's Heavy Equipment has over a 25,000 square foot facility located in Ames, Iowa. It offers 7 full enclosed bays to fit all sizes of equipment with 3 overhead cranes, a wash bay and a full-size paint booth.
As a JLG® Authorized Service Center, Brown's Heavy Equipment provides quality service and parts for aerial work platforms and telescopic forklifts. We offer over 80,000 replacement parts (oem and aftermarket) for various models of telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other material handling equipment.
